Mission Statement
The Korean American Senior Services, Inc. is a recognized non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote the Korean American Senior community where all Korean American seniors in San Francisco are engaged and supported and have access to diverse opportunities to enhance their overall wellness. Our mission is to serve as a hub and focal point, to complement existing services and provide programs, activities, and opportunities for all individuals as they age. Leveraging resources, developing a sustainable future, and engaging in strong partnerships and collaborations with the City of San Francisco and other organizations, we strive to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing activities, services and programs that enhance and support the mental, physical, spiritual, and social health of those aged whether retired or still working.
About This Cause
Korean American Senior Services, Inc. established in January 1972 and registered as a non-profit organization in the California State in January 1975 and also registered in the Federal in October 1978. Korean American Senior Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization serving the Korean-American Senior community of San Francisco by offering a wide range of education, counseling, cultural activities, and community services. KASSI has relocated at the current address, 745 Buchanan St, San Francisco, CA 94102 since August 30, 1988. For 39 years, KASSI has successfully offered a range of programs and services in San Francisco includes the following services: • Provides referrals and assistance in accessing community services that specialize in the needs of new arrivals or those with little or no English skills. • Advocates the rights and interests of immigrants in the Bay Area. • Provides supportive services and counseling to help Koreans and Korean-Americans adjust to a different culture and/or language barriers. • Serves as a cultural and social focal point for the Korean-American community. • Provides citizenship instruction for San Francisco Korean American Seniors. Our Vision Our goal is to promote cultural, social, educational, and economic progress of all Korean-American Seniors in San Francisco. We are committed to the Korean American Senior residents and communities we serve to promote better and healthier lives. We strive to be a best organization where all members are valued and provide for the health and well-being of the Korean American Seniors society in San Francisco with various programs, better services and useful activities.
