About This Cause
The Center for Community Legal Education oversees the work of the University of San Francisco Street Law Project, and in doing so works with approximately 1,000 Bay Area inner-city kids each year. It is an education enrichment program that teaches kids about their legal rights and responsibilities and has been doing so since 1976. In working with inner-city kids, the Center trains law students to serve as educators and mentors to high school kids who have few positive role models in their lives.
