Mission Statement
The South Bay Islamic Association (SBIA) is one of the oldest Islamic Organizations in The Bay Area. Its headquarters are located at 2345 Harris Wy, San Jose, Ca 95131, and a satellite facility in downtown San Jose. SBIA has been providing various services to the community since 1977. SBIA has been active in spreading Islam through various Dawah programs and by hosting a number of activities including Weekend Islamic School, Quranic classes for children, Tafseer (English translation and Exegesis) classes for adults, conferences and community get- togethers.
About This Cause
Your Community Center at 2345 Harris Wy, San Jose, Ca. 95131 Bismillah, almost a year ago (2013) we had asked the community to help us establish a bigger center for our growing community. Alhamdulilah, with Allah's (SWT) blessings and your generosity, we were able to establish our new community center at 2345 Harris Way in San Jose. We had promised more space, parking, events, and financial independence in five years. Progress since we moved in: 70,000 sq. ft., 10x and 70+ parking spots, 70x. Wide variety of events Classes with Imam Tahir, fitness classes, and speakers from world of Astro Physics Space leased to be financially independent and reduce burden on community Community attendance has increased 2x Plan for the coming year (2014-15): Relieve community members financially – Qard-e- hasna and guarantors Pay 10% of balance principal amount of the mortgage Facility improvement to provide more and better services
