Mission Statement
Our Mission is to eliminate the adverse impact of substance use disorders on children and families. Sadly 1 in 4 children under the age of 18 years is negatively impacted by the effects of a parent misusing alcohol or drugs. Our goal is to assure no child impacted by the disease of addiction feels left alone, and we train adults who interface with these children to be "safe" resources for these children in their every day life!
About This Cause
National, international advocacy and education organization with over 75 affiliates working to provide healing and support to children of all ages who have parents suffering from substance use disorders. We create evidence-based materials and trainings to help impacted children and their families to navigate the chaos and confusion of living in a family impacted by the disease of addiction. We work with schools, law enforcement, businesses, faith communities, healthcare professionals, treatment centers and first responders to provide them with the tools to help these children. Over 90% of donations to NACoA go directly to providing services to help these children.
