We desire to give the best education experience to our students and those in the broader community. Regardless of resources we are committed to ensuring that our youth receive every opportunity to find their greatest calling and become their best selves. We endeavor to assist parents in their efforts to become models of right behavior and right order for their children, while providing a working environment that allows our educators to follow their passion.
About This Cause
Ile Omode was founded in 1986, and since its inception has served students in Oakland and surrounding cities throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. The school began its formal educational program as a licensed preschool with offerings for kindergarten children as well. It continued to expand, and presently provides schooling for students from preschool through middle school; completing its full elementary in the 1990s, and adding a middle school in 2009. We take great pride in leveraging our unique curriculum and mentorship to provide unparalleled opportunities for our youth. Graduates from our culturally-rooted program, boast a 100% private school acceptance rate, and our students are the recipients of private high school scholarships annually. The school serves predominantly low-income families, and our efforts alter the trajectory for many African-American youth, seeing over 92% of our students attend college.
