Mission Statement
LIIF is dedicated to creating pathways of opportunity for low income people and communities as a steward for capital invested in community-building initiatives. In so doing, LIIF provides a bridge between private capital markets and low-income neighborhoods.
About This Cause
Established in 1984, Low Income Investment Fund (LIIF) is a national Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) that provides flexible and patient capital to affordable housing developers, early care and education facilities and community based organizations. Headquartered in San Francisco, we also have regional offices in New York City, Washington D.C. and Atlanta. Since our inception, we have deployed well over $2 billion to support more than two million people across the country. Our work primarily impacts communities of color who have been impacted by decades of institutionalized racism. LIIF's vision is to help create and support healthy, thriving communities.
