Mission Statement

The San Francisco Public Health Foundation develops and mobilizes resources in support of the goals of the San Francisco Department of Public Health and its community partners to protect and promote health. SFPHF serves as the fiscal sponsor for more than 60 different programs serving the San Francisco community.

About This Cause

Since 1988 the San Francisco Public Health Foundation has worked to help private donors invest in public purpose. Today we are happy to assist in many different project areas including: Transitions Clinic, serving formerly incarcerated individuals with case management and outpatient medical services. San Francisco Health Network, providing direct medical and dental care to thousands of San Francisco residents. Maternal Child Adolescent Health programs, ensuring that policies and services are in place to help moms, children and families. Transgender Health Services, specializing in a range of health services to transgender residents such as primary care, prevention, behavioral health, hormone therapy, specialty and inpatient care. Chinatown Child Development Center, working to ensure that children an families have access to quality, culturally appropriate mental health services. SF Emergency Management Services, helping to increase earthquake readiness to the entire city. Crisis Recovery Fund, offering mental health services and support to families involved in traumatic violence. Environmental Health, training the community on Health Impact Assessment and mapping various environmental conditions in San Francisco.
