Portland Mountain Rescue is committed to saving lives through rescue and mountain safety education. First and foremost, we are a rescue organization. We have committed ourselves to excellence in mountain and backcountry search and rescue. Additionally, we endeavor to provide resources that help those who go outdoors understand and evaluate the risks of backcountry activities, such as mountaineering, hiking, climbing, skiing and snowboarding, so that everyone will play, but play it safe!
