Mission Statement
The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) develops, owns and operates housing for the benefit of low-income, homeless and/or formerly homeless people in Washington State; advocates for just housing policies at the local and national levels; administers a range of support service programs to assist those we serve in maintaining stable housing and establishing self-sufficiency.
About This Cause
The Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) operates three main lines of business: 1) Development of affordable housing for low-income and homeless people. 2) Tiny House Villages that provide enhanced shelter in a community setting with case management services that help residents find permanent housing. 3) Urban Rest Stops that provide homeless people witha place to shower, do laundry, and access other hygiene services.
