Mission Statement
The Foundation is a public, non-profit corporation chartered in the State of Washington with a tax exempt status of 501 (c)(3) and is a chapter in good standing with Washington Dollars for Scholars , which is a program of the Citizen's Scholarship Foundation of America. The foundation exists to enhance the learning experiences of all Burlington- Edison Students, and create a positive link to District alumni.
About This Cause
In existence since 1993, our primary focus is the administering, creation and funding of scholarships for B-E graduates pursuing academic, technical or trade school secondary education. There are currently 38 scholarship funds, and new ones are added annually. We have awarded over $250,00 scholarships, with between $50,000 and $65,000 awarded annually in recent years. Our all volunteer Board of Directors. comprised of community and business leaders, who fundraise and mange our scholarship are committed to assisting B-E students achieve their higher education goals.
