Mission Statement

RCF Connects mobilizes the power of connection to build healthy, thriving, and equitable communities. We work to create and support systems built on equity and justice, free from racism, bias, and discrimination.

About This Cause

RCF Connects envisions an equitable society where all communities and the people who live in them are able to thrive, build and share power, and reach their full potential. What RCF Does: - Connect and collaborate with community partners, residents, and local governments to identify and address community issues that maintain inequities, and share information and resources to increase access to opportunities. - Support and resource high-impact, grassroot, community organizations, programs, and initiatives that meet critical needs and address the impacts of racism and other inequities in their communities. - Increase transformational philanthropy by working in partnership with funders, donors, and the community to raise and distribute funds that can sustainably address and transform the root causes of inequities, and shift philanthropic practices rooted in racism and other injustices. - Grow, sustain, and uplift the leadership of employees, residents, and community partners through coaching, training, and advocacy opportunities. - Increase access to decision making opportunities that put power in the hands of the community. Key Principles: The below principles will help us contribute to equity and a thriving community ecosystem: - Centering Community Driven Solutions: The voices of community members are prioritized in planning, decision making, and resource allocation to address community issues. - Building Shared and Equitable Power: Staff and community residents are supported to engage in meaningful planning and decision making on the issues that impact them. - Co-Creating Inclusion, Belonging, and Connectedness: The organization reflects the communities and cultures we serve. Anti-racist principles are upheld as we welcome and celebrate a diversity of ideas, backgrounds, and cultures.
