Mission Statement

The Bair Island Aquatic Center (BIAC) enjoys year-round access to protected marine waters and provides a variety of human powered watercraft for member use. BIAC is located in Silicon Valley just upstream from the Port of Redwood City. Join us if you are interested in learning a new sport, improving your skills, enjoying the local waterways, or racing competitively. BIAC is the place for rowing and paddling on the San Francisco Peninsula!

About This Cause

Formed in 1999, BIAC is a nonprofit organization offering community paddling, rowing, and sculling programs, while providing access to San Francisco Bay's sensitive and unique ecosystems. BIAC, formerly the Stanford Rowing Club, is a member of US Rowing; our organization number is 315. Members can use common club boats or rent storage space for their shells, kayaks, paddleboards, and outrigger canoes. As part of our Community Outreach efforts, BIAC hosts programs for at-risk and special needs youth, veterans, adaptive rowers, and corporate team building events.
