Mission Statement

Success and prosperity start with good health. That’s why Ravenswood Family Health Network (RFHN) provides comprehensive medical, dental and mental health services regardless of ability to pay. In 2014, we served over 13,400 patients. Nearly 9 in 10 of our patients live in poverty, raising families on less than $24,000 a year.

About This Cause

RFHN is a federally qualified health center headquartered in the low-income East Palo Alto area of San Mateo County. RFHN was founded in 2001 by a blue ribbon taskforce of local residents and representatives from San Mateo County, the City of East Palo Alto, and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital to address a critical shortage in access to safety-net primary care. Our mission is to improve the health of the community by providing culturally sensitive, integrated primary and preventative health care to all, regardless of ability to pay or immigration status, and collaborating with community partners to address the social determinants of health. Our vision is to educate, engage and empower patients to actively manage their health and become advocates for healthy living within their family and the community, inspiring others to value that good health is true wealth. RFHN provides a continuum of health care services, including Pediatrics; Family Practice; Family Dentistry; Optometry; Integrated Behavioral Health; Women’s Health; Health Education and Prevention; Pharmacy; and Enrollment.
