Mission Statement
The League is a solutions-based organization, focused on advocating for sensible environmental regulations backed by science and monitoring, devoted community engagement, grassroots involvement, and a collective ideology of working together to Keep Tahoe Blue. The League is Tahoe’s oldest and largest environmental organization. We advocate for strong environmental regulation and enforcement to protect Lake Tahoe for this and future generations. We educate and engage the public about how to protect Lake Tahoe. We collaborate with stakeholders to address environmental issues. We support collaborative, innovative, and science-based solutions to environmental issues facing the Lake.
About This Cause
Mission Statement The League to Save Lake Tahoe is dedicated to protecting and restoring the environmental health, sustainability, and scenic beauty of the Lake Tahoe Basin. We focus on water quality and its clarity for the preservation of a pristine Lake for future generations. Vision Statement "Keep Tahoe Blue" means a crystal clear Lake, protecting watersheds that support native plants and forests and abundant wildlife, an active and informed community of residents and visitors who act as stewards for the Lake, and communities and facilities within longstanding urban boundaries that harmonize with the natural environment, and provide low-impact outdoor recreational opportunities now and into the future.
