About This Cause

Established in 1899, FSA assists Santa Barbara County's most vulnerable children, families, and seniors meet their basics while simultaneously addressing mental health needs. Through this holistic approach, FSA improves the strength and well-being of our community. Our transformative and essential programs include: Family Support Services Long-Term Care Ombudsman School-Based Counseling Services Senior Services Youth & Family Behavioral Health FSA programs ensure access to food, shelter, and other basic needs, case management, parent education, advocacy and a wide-array of mental health programs. We are committed to providing services where they are needed most. Eighty percent of our services are delivered on school campuses, at community centers and in clients’ homes. Our programs, which serve more than 25,000 people annually, combine clinical expertise, bilingual and bicultural staff, and close collaboration with other agencies.
