About This Cause
The club was founded in 1899 and built its own clubhouse in 1913. It has fostered many improvements in South Pasadena including establishing Arroyo Seco Park and starting a tree-planting program. The club has a long history of making donations to various charitable groups and helps local high school students through its scholarship program. This year we awarded eleven scholarships totaling $36,100. We also have a Spirt of Giving donation program. This year we gave to CARES auxiliary, Tournament of Roses, Huntington Memorial Hospital, Pasadena Humane Society, South Pasadena Beautiful, DVAC, St. James Church, Friends of Foster Children, Cal Vets association, Heifer Program, Holy Family Church and The Urban Harvester, totaling $3,150.
