Mission Statement
Founded in 1947, Temple Beth David was the first Reform synagogue in the San Gabriel Valley. Our membership has steadily grown to form a vibrant community spanning the generations for over 70 years. Our services embrace the warm spiritual traditions of Judaism and encourage participation by congregants. We welcome interfaith couples and encourage non-Jewish spouses to participate in the many facets of temple life. We offer an array of adult education programs to support all who seek a greater understanding of, and fulfillment in, Judaism.
About This Cause
We are proud to provide a safe and sacred space for practicing Jews and interfaith families without regard to race, gender or other barriers to love. Our community is part of the reform Judaism tradition where spiritual discovery, educational richness, loving kindness and personal responsibility are developed to better ourselves, our children, and the world which we all share. In addition to regular weekly and holiday services, we host B'nai Mitzvah training, children's education (pre-k through 6th grade), choir, enrichment programs (including adult hebrew, crafts and informative bagel breakfasts on a wide range of topics), a youth group, and our temple's signature Hebrew-in-Hebrew program: Ulpan Shishi. For over 70 years, Temple Beth David has taught and practiced Tikkun Olam, allowing our families and friends to join in healing the world.
