About This Cause
Since 1960, St. Paul’s Senior Services has been a leader of innovative and affordable care for low- and moderate-income seniors in San Diego. Through the generous support of individuals, businesses and granting organizations, St. Paul’s has developed a comprehensive range of programs and services option for seniors: -- St. Paul's Manor – an affordably priced independent living community for seniors of modest means. -- St. Paul's Villa – an assisted living/memory care community that also provides palliative care. Over 10% of residents are low-income seniors. -- St. Paul's Plaza – an assisted living/memory care community that also provides palliative care. -- John A. McColl Family Health Center – a community providing skilled nursing, rehabilitation and hospice care. Over 35% of residents are low-income. -- St. Paul's Intergenerational Program – an interactive day program for seniors with early to moderate stages of dementia and children aged 2 months to 6 years. The children’s program emphasizes academics while the senior’s program emphasizes developing joyfulness and personal security. -- St. Paul’s PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) – a comprehensive healthcare and social services program to help the frail elderly live safely in their homes. Services include primary care, physical therapy, medical oversight, and rehabilitation emphasizing strength building and fall prevention, food and nutrition programs and extensive in-home support services available 24/7. 100% of PACE participants are low-income (MediCal-eligible); 25% have been homeless.
