Mission Statement

World Emergency Relief alleviates the suffering of human beings by providing humanitarian relief and developmental aid to people who have been marginalized by geography, or harmed by natural disaster, war, armed conflict, exploitation, physical or mental abuse, or economic deprivation.

About This Cause

WER works with local organizations to fight poverty and hunger, and to provide relief for victims of disaster and conflict. In addition to providing emergency relief, WER develops programs offering long-term support and capacity building for our beneficiaries. Our main focuses are food, water, healthcare and education. WER responds to these needs by sending appropriate quality goods including food, medicines and water filtration supplies. WER reaches urban areas and rural communities that are often neglected. We also train local groups in program and administrative “best practices” to help them grow their ability to deliver aid (“capacity building”). In the United States, WER supports feeding programs for Native Americans, particularly the Navajo. We partner with outlying food pantries operated by churches and local Navajo chapter houses.
