Mission Statement
Cat Connection's primary objective is to save the lives of abandoned, abused and neglected cats and dogs. We satisfy this objective by providing shelter, medical treatment and TLC to the homeless animals that we take into our group. Significant effort is spent on rescue, rehabilitation, supervising foster homes, screening potential adopters, managing adoption events and community outreach. We also advocate for spay/neuter, TNR for feral/stray cats and the importance of adopters making a lifetime commitment to companion animals. Our goal to help Los Angeles become a no-kill city continues.
About This Cause
Cat Connection, a non-profit 501(c)(3) no kill Rescue group was founded in 1996 and provides animal rescue services to Southern California. We are an organization of dedicated volunteers with no paid staff. Our animals live in our Cattery or volunteer foster homes until adopted. our volunteers care for kittens that need to be bottle fed, cats that need medical attention and /or socialization and healthy animals ready for adoption. Cat Connection takes care of our rescue animals' medical needs and prior to adoption, every animal is spayed/neutered, tested, vaccinated, de-wormed, given flea control and microchipped. Many animals need various medical procedures and/or surgeries to ready them for adoption. We follow up with all adopters to make sure that the adopted animals re making a good transition into their new lives. We are in continual contact with adopters who have taken in special needs animals or animals with chronic medical conditions and/or behavioral issues. We have a senior to senior program. Senior animals for senior citizens. Donation is waived. We provide initial medical and in some cases all medical to our senior and special needs animals. We provide financial assistance to other groups and the public when medical is needed and they are unable to afford to get proper care for the their animals.
