Our mission is to raise the awareness of and to provide the vital missing element in contemporary education: the knowledge and skill of how to learn.
About This Cause
The current scene in education foreshadows a looming dark ages. We live in a time when whole bodies of knowledge could become lost due to general functional illiteracy. One stark example of this is the dropping out of the chief requisite to education, teaching students how to learn! Can you imagine sending a pilot off to fly a plane without proper study and practice? Yet we send students off for a 13-17 year career of education (read that learning) without being taught how to learn! Is there any wonder there is widespread failure and disappointment both for students and teachers alike? Hollywood Education & Literacy Project (H.E.L.P.) specializes in teaching how to learn. We place special emphasis on tutor training because of the magnitude of the problem.
