About This Cause

The Foundation for Camp Bob Waldorf (formerly Camp Max Straus) was established in 1962 to ensure perpetual operational funding for Camp Bob Waldorf on the Max Straus Campus. Our Camp is a non-denominational, residential summer camp operated by Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles and is located on 112 beautiful acres in the Verdugo Hills of Glendale. Thanks in part to The Foundation for Camp Bob Waldorf, more than 60,000 underserved children have benefited from attending our Camp and its existence ensures that the camp will remain open for many generations to come. The Foundation for Camp Bob Waldorf is a California benefit nonprofit corporation with its own 501(c)(3) status. The Foundation operates as a restricted endowment fund with approved monthly allocations used to keep our Camp operating.
