The Haitian Global Health Alliance’s purpose is to support GHESKIO, a world-class research, treatment, and training facility and partner of Weill Cornell Medical College.
About This Cause
Haitian Global Health Alliance, Inc., provides communications and financial support for GHESKIO in Haiti. Founded by renowned HIV/AIDS pioneers, GHESKIO was the first institution in the world dedicated to the fight against AIDS. GHESKIO is widely recognized for implementing and evaluating effective strategies for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases. By Haitians and for Haitians, GHESKIO provides comprehensive health services free of charge, giving patients the care, knowledge, and support they need to regain their health and become productive, engaged members of their community. GHESKIO serves over 200,000 patients each year. In the past 42 years, GHESKIO has saved innumerable lives in Haiti, and greatly impacted healthcare delivery around the world through the development of innovative and effective treatment strategies for HIV/AIDS and other infectious diseases.
