Mission Statement
Dedicated to preserving the Battleship Missouri and sharing her story and place in history.
About This Cause
The Battleship Missouri has served her nation with honor and distinction through World War II, the Korean War and Operation Desert Storm with the service and devotion of crews spanning three generations. Support the restoration and preservation of the "Mighty Mo". PRESERVATION: Painting the ship's exterior and interior spaces; improving the ship's energy efficiency; collecting and recording historical artifacts related to the USS Missouri and her crew. RESTORATION: Working to halt rust and corrosion; replacing and refurbishing teak deck. EDUCATION: Delivering engaging field trip programs focused on history,math, science and technology; leading group overnight encampments; arranging school band and musical performances on board. COMMUNITY OUTREACH: Hosting military ceremonies for our Armed Forces personnel and guests.
