Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop dynamic future Ivorian leaders by providing academic and career advice and assistance to the Ivorian youth. YILI aims to help them choose an appropriate career path based on their skills, passion, and the job market demands while instilling in them the desire to contribute to the development of Cote d'Ivoire.
About This Cause
YILI is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization created by young Ivorians awarded a scholarship from their home country, Cote d'Ivoire, to emigrate and study in the United States of America. We, as a whole, are extremely grateful for the opportunity given us over a decade ago, and as such, endeavor to give back to the Ivorian community through various channels including social, educational and professional. Our Mission We are a network of multi-talented and driven young professionals with a mission to develop dynamic future Ivorian leaders by providing academic and career advice and assistance to the Ivorian youth. YILI aims to help them choose an appropriate career path based on their skills, passion, and the job market demands while instilling in them the desire to contribute to the development of Cote d'Ivoire. Our Values As founders and members of YILI, we strive to IMPACT the younger generations by adhering to the following values: Integrity Altruism Collaboration Our Structure We are constituted of a Board of Directors, an Executive Committee (a President, a Treasurer, a Secretary and Committee Heads), and four Committees (Social, Education, Professional and Business). Our Actions Since our formation, YILI has successfully donated school kits to 100+ students in an underprivileged elementary school near Abidjan (Cote d'Ivoire's most populous city); organized a career fair with Certificates of Excellence to the best students. With the help of our donors, we plan to multiply these actions with a particular emphasis on impact.
