Mission Statement
LaLa Speaks Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to raising awareness about brain aneurysms through education, advocacy, and community engagement. We empower underserved communities with life-saving knowledge, amplify survivor voices, and promote early detection and mental wellness. Through powerful storytelling, impactful programs, and partnerships, we aim to break the silence around brain aneurysms and help save lives—one conversation at a time.
About This Cause
Every 18 minutes, someone in the U.S. suffers from a ruptured brain aneurysm. Many never see it coming. An estimated 6.7 million people in the U.S. are walking around with an unruptured brain aneurysm right now—most don’t even know it. And while this silent killer affects so many, the government allocates just $2.08 per person each year toward research. That’s not enough. LaLa Speaks Foundation was born from the unimaginable pain of loss—but it's powered by purpose. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in St. Louis, Missouri, raising awareness about brain aneurysms through community-driven education, advocacy, and impact. Our mission is to bring this silent threat out of the shadows and into everyday conversation—especially in underserved communities where access to life-saving information and care is often limited or delayed. Too often, early symptoms are dismissed. Too many families are left with questions. And far too many lives are lost simply because the warning signs weren't known. We’re here to change that. We speak for the voices that were silenced too soon. We advocate for early detection. We amplify survivors and honor those we’ve lost. We create safe spaces to educate, support, and spark action. Our programs include school and community events, pop-up awareness experiences, survivor storytelling, mental health resources, and creative engagement like Silent Sounds – Loud Impact, a unique initiative that uses music, media, and lived experience to connect, inform, and inspire. We also host outreach efforts such as school supply giveaways, winter coat drives, and customized wellness activations—all while planting seeds of knowledge that can save lives. We are not just another foundation—we are a movement fueled by love, resilience, and a call to action. What makes us different? We don’t wait for people to come to us. We go to them.
