Mission Statement
We are a non-profit organization committed to empowering children by raising awareness and igniting their interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. We aim to spread awareness about the vast opportunities in Robotics, Electronics, and Artificial Intelligence, providing resources, mentorship, coaching, and training to spark curiosity and passion in young minds. Our mission is also to support student-led FIRST teams to the best of our ability through our student mentors, web resources, generous sponsors, and nonprofit capabilities.
About This Cause
We teach, coach and mentor the kids to participate in the FIRST Lego League (FLL) and First Technology Challenge (FTC). FLL and FTC are world recognized competitions that help nurture kids to learn and build designs. Typically, FLL and FTC coaches are involved in the following activities: • Design and Build: Teaching students design, build, and program robots using LEGO kits for FLL Explorers and Challengers, and other materials for FTC. • Project Development: Guiding kids through research projects related to real-world problems and helping them develop innovative solutions. • Team Management: Teaching kids teamwork, time management, core values, and project management skills. • Coaching and Mentoring: Providing support and mentorship to help kids understand the principles of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). • Recruit Team Members: Identifying and recruiting team members for FLL or FTC teams. • Educate Java Coding for FTC: Offering training sessions on Java programming to enhance coding skills specific to FTC requirements. • Outreach FIRST: Conducting outreach activities to promote the FIRST program in the community, including demonstrations and presentations. • Competition Preparation: Preparing teams for local, regional, and national competitions by organizing practice sessions, mock presentations, and strategy discussions.
