The Saint Anthony Shelter for Renewal is a private, not for profit shelter for men who are over 18 years of age. Overnight shelter accommodations are provided for up to 6 months for those guests who remain compliant with shelter programming and policy. Chief among the requirements is the complete abstinence from drugs and alcohol. This is due in large part to the focus of the shelter program on recovery. The nightly regimen of programs seek to empower men to recover from active abuse of substances and other patterns of addictive behavior. While it is not necessary to have addiction issues to enter the shelter St. Anthony’s seeks the healing of the entire person at all levels of his life. This work is conducted mainly through a daily structured environment, an emphasis on personal responsibility and a nightly schedule of in house programs.
