Mission Statement
Peninsula Bible Church Cupertino seeks to be a worshipping community. We strive to be a place where people can grow in Christ through truth and authentic relationships and have opportunities to love the world both locally and globally. Our core values include expository preaching, discipleship, ministry of the saints, shared stories, and living the new covenant where the resources to live the Christian life come from God and not from ourselves.
About This Cause
Belonging... The Bible makes clear that as followers of Jesus Christ we are children of our Heavenly Father. We belong to him, and we belong to one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Every single one of us has an important part to play and together we tell the story of Jesus in a way that we could not express alone. There are a variety of ministries and communities here at PBCC in which you can connect, serve and grow in your faith. Serving... “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10) What a wonderful and joyous calling we have! Opportunities to share the light and love of God in service to others are as endless as your imagination. Begin with prayer, and with a quiet spirit ask the Lord to soften your heart and open your eyes to see and step into the good works he has prepared for you and gifted you to walk into. There are many opportunities inside and outside the church. Some are one-time or short-term opportunities, while others may ask for a weekly or monthly commitment. You may join something already in progress, but feel free to be spontaneous and start a brand new thing. Rather than just press forward on your own, consider inviting others to join you as you live out your faith and reflect the love of Jesus. Learning... Why do we learn? Spiritual learning is formative: its goal is not academic knowledge but spiritual formation. We pursue learning so we can know the Lord and become more like Christ, for “everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher” (Luke 6:40). Learning is intergenerational, receiving from the previous generation and passing on to the next one. Learning is communal, engaged in dialog together around the Scriptures.
