About This Cause
Our current ministries include Altar Servers, St. Catherine Philoptochos, Choir and Chanters, Church School, our St. John the Almsgiver program that cooks for the homeless, Bible Study, Assumption Men’s Ministry Group, an Adult Catechism Class called “Studies in the Faith”, All Saints Camp, Camp Agape NW, and Pre-Marital Counseling. The Seattle area has a strong Pan-Orthodox presence and the Assumption Church participates in various activities through the year with the three other Greek Orthodox churches in the area and five from other jurisdictions represented. The parishes take turns hosting feast day events in their communities open to all Orthodox Christians, as well as Vespers services during Great Lent and at other times during the year.
