Mission Statement
Oakland Unified is California's most-improved urban school district over the past decade. Our mission is to create a Full Service Community District that serves the whole child, eliminates inequity, and provides each child with excellent teachers for every day.
About This Cause
The public school system for the city of Oakland, California. We are building America's first Full-Service Community School District where all students graduate from high school as: 1. caring, competent, and critical thinkers. 2. fully-informed, engaged and contributing citizens 3. thoughtful adults prepared to succeed in college and career. Oakland Unified is the Home to National Blue Ribbon Schools, California Distinguished Schools, the California Teacher of the Year, and numerous other distinctions.
