SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Experience in writing and preparing engaging communications and campaigns for a high net worth and/or business audience, grants, fundraisers etc
- Ability to connect with potential donors and find creative solutions for partnership
- Comfortable networking with new individuals or organisations for the purpose of fundraising.
- Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative with excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team – the role requires collaboration with colleagues across the organisation including Fundraising, Innovations, Marketing etc.
- Able to work on initiative and as part of a closely coordinated team.
- Experience supporting a busy team on multiple projects and managing competing deadlines.
- Passionate about social impact
RESPONSIBILITIES
We have 8 initiatives and this role will be placed as needed and according to their interest in the Growth & Development Team or Creative Team.
- You will work closely with Growth & Development, Innovations and Creative Teams
Developing and delivering fundraising campaigns
- Building effective and long-lasting relationships with charitable trusts and foundations, donors, companies and grant-making institutions.
- Developing cases for support, draft proposals, reports and other communications for existing and prospective supporters across the philanthropy and partnerships portfolio
- Managing a CRM of prospects and existing donors.
- Stewarding prospects through a moves management plan, from qualifying to closing.

Support Teen Feed by organizing a food collection drive to provide pantry staples and paper products for our nightly meal program for houseless youth 13-25 years of age. Our meal program always is in needs of pantry staples (bottled water, coco packets, cooking oil, sparking seltzer water, electrolyte packets, cup-o-noodle, 100% fruit juice, hot sauce, spices) and paper products (to-go packaging, etc.). Delivery team members are key to helping us get quality, fresh food out to the community. Assist with receiving and sorting donations, stocking pantry shelves, distributing boxes to older adults, and other tasks to get the pantry ready to distribute meals. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.Available time slots: Mon 9-11:00am, Tue 9-11:00am, Tue 10-12:00pm, Thurs 9-11:00am, Thurs 10-12:00pm. The shift with the greatest need is Mondays from 9-11 AM due to the arrival of food deliveries.
Availability to help on a recurring basis preferred however volunteers can sign up on a bi-weekly, monthly basis or for a one time occurrence.

We provide the training, the safe environment, and the communal fun. Volunteer Workdays occur monthly at local nonprofits. Our goal with Volunteer workdays is to team build with our volunteers, meet new volunteers, give back to our community, and help local organizations in need with volunteer power. We help local sanctuaries and community gardens complete projects, while donating supplies during our workdays.We are looking to recruit volunteers to participate in our Volunteer Workdays to provide the biggest impact possible for our local nonprofits. Volunteer workdays occur the second Saturday of each month between 9am and 1pm. After working hard, we meet at an area vegan establishment to unwind and have a much-deserved meal!

In an ongoing effort to provide education and healthcare support in our community, we hereby aim to distribute 2,500 backpacks with school supplies to students in San Antonio and surrounding areas. GPCO's Health-Fair & Back to School Event is scheduled to hold on Saturday July 20th, 2024. This year, the event will be held at Alamo College District Westside Educational Training Center. The Westside of San Antonio is one of poorest and underserved communities in United States. We plan to bring an impactful event to this community by expanding our resources and support community members’ access to free school supplies, free and affordable wellness and healthcare resources.
In collaboration community vendors, and health organizations, our Health-Fair & Back to School Event address the needs of various underserved population and assist community members.
