What makes us a caring nation is our sense of fellowship, our ability to give and our capacity to receive. You can help us do something good right now. Every day we rescue and redistribute surplus fresh bread so that we can stop the waste and share a loaf with someone who needs it. It could be the homeless roaming the streets, the old person who lives alone at the end of the road or your next door neighbour trying to make a sandwich for the kid’s school lunch. Sharing bread is a simple way to reach out and build community.
Come and join us, grab a loaf and do something good in your community today.
We require a volunteer driver to collect surplus bread from bakeries located in Sydney’s Inner West and deliver the bread either to one of our distribution centres or directly to our clients within and outside the Sydney Metropolitan Area.
The role will require some heavy lifting with a trolley.
Set runs with variable days Monday to Friday. Maximum 2 hours per day. Start as soon as possible.
The successful applicant will have their own registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance, a current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence, excellent driving record and demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Road Traffic Regulations.
Key to success in this role will be your reliability, punctuality and positive attitude.

Each year, Christian HELP distributes 900,000 pounds of food to families in need that are trying to get their lives back on track through employment. Each family receives fresh groceries weekly while they are preparing for and searching for employment. And, because the first paycheck doesn't pay all their accumulated bills, we also provide groceries 60 days after they start working.Volunteers are needed in our food pantry from 9:30 - 3:30 pm Monday - Friday. Different shifts with varying times and days available. Our volunteers help unload, sort and distribute the food to the more than 100 families we serve every week.
If you enjoy helping others and would like to volunteer, connect with us today!
