There is a huge need to help feed hundreds of people in crisis each week at Feeding Hope Village. We have no full time nor part-time paid staff. The facility is run by the Director of Operations for the Church and supervised by our Board Chair. Neither person is paid for their service to the Food Pantry. The primary staff is our dedicated and faith-full Volunteer of which there are ten at any one time. However, due to the increase in services and clients we are in need of many more volunteers.

From tending to harvesting and washing the crops all summer long and into the fall – Helping Hands do it all!

Our mission at Century Harvest Farms Foundation is to end food insecurity and improve the health of rural East Tennessee communities. We believe that all individuals and families deserve access to safe, healthy, and nutritious foods. We seek to change the way rural East Tennessee eats and farms by empowering and engaging with people from all backgrounds, engaging leaders and the public, developing practices in sustainable agriculture, and driving choices that benefit the health of our communities.

Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds come together on our farms to pick fresh fruits and vegetables for their neighbors in need. Distribution is facilitated by Second Harvest Food Bank. It’s hard work, but we make it simple enough that everyone can make an impact regardless of age or experience! Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. You will meet great people engaged in rewarding work that has amazing end results. Come join the fun!

Volunteer shifts start early here at Century Harvest Farms Foundation and that's so we can get you out of the sun before the hottest part of the day. As a working farm, our volunteer activities take place outside, so shifts may be canceled in the case of very extreme weather. To get the full experience, wear something you don’t mind getting dirty (bring a change of clothes if you have to head somewhere right after). Dress in closed-toe shoes and appropriate additions to fit the season (hat, sunscreen, layers, rain gear). We can't wait to have you out!

CHFF can accommodate volunteer groups of any size - large or small! If you have a group of 5 or more, please visit centuryharvest.org/volunteer and complete the 'Group Volunteer Inquiry' found on the page. If you have any other questions regarding volunteering with us, please contact our Volunteer Manager, Will Groos, at will@centuryharvest.com.
