Opportunity Details

Just a few hours of volunteer time in the warehouse can help provide thousands of meals to food insecure individuals living in Western Massachusetts. As a warehouse volunteer, you will sort and pack food and other items that will be distributed to pantries and meal sites as well as The Mobile Food Bank distribution program.

Food sorting includes donated frozen meat, produce, and dry goods. Volunteers must be able to lift up to 25 pounds. All volunteers must wear closed toed shoes and clothes they don't mind getting dirty. Foods and drinks are not allowed in the warehouse.

Opportunity Details

Through our choice food pantry we hope to meet the physical needs of our neighbors, empower them to make nutritious meals for their families, and build relationships that ultimately lead to conversations about Jesus and His desire for a relationship with them.

You will assist with organizing and stocking shelves, processing donations, checking expiration dates, shopping with neighbors, and preparing emergency food bags.

With your help we will be able to provide our neighbors with the resources to cook nutritious meals for themselves and their families. We will also have the opportunity to convey to them how inherently valuable they are in the eyes of the Lord. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to grow in your ability to love and serve individuals in challenging circumstances.

Opportunity Details

This 5k will benefit the Hospitality Center of Norristown who serves those who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. The Hospitality Center is a safe, nurturing environment with professional staff and volunteers providing much needed care to the local community. The goal of the center is to provide immediate assistance through its services such as daily breakfast, hot showers, case management, discussion groups, mail services and much more, while facilitating growth and promoting independence so patrons no longer require assistance. For over 26+ years the Hospitality Center has been helping those who need it with zero government funding. The Center survives on the generosity of it's supporters.
