Covenant House Missouri openly accepts youth ages 16-21 who are experiencing homelessness. Through holistic, individualized programs, youth move from homelessness to hope, striving to reach a place where they can achieve their dreams. Covenant House Missouri provides physical and mental health services, life skills, employment training, career development and a safe place to call home.

To help us achieve our goals, we need volunteers to assist with projects at our facility, that will allow our staff to better serve our youth. Volunteers are a crucial part of our organization and without them we could not achieve our goals. The youth we serve appreciate the support of the community and it truly impacts their lives.

On April 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we are in need of 15-20 volunteers to assist in organizing the donations we have received for the youth in our two youth donation “shops”.

For this project all volunteers must be able lift items and be able to use stairs when needed. Covenant House will provide lunch for all volunteers as well as a small snack in the morning.

As a facility that houses youth, we are required by the State of Missouri to do a child welfare check on all volunteers to maintain the safety of our youth. Please fill out our Volunteer Application, Child Abuse & Welfare application and sign our release of liability if you are interested in assisting our organization on this project. Once completed please email them to emoss@covenanthousemo.org.

Hunger Task Force’s Match Madness Campaign runs March 1-10 this year. During this time, all donations to Hunger Task Force are matched by a group of community leaders who build a matching pool of funds. This year’s campaign is crucial, as Hunger Task Force has been stretching its resources to meet local need during difficult times. All funds raised through Match Madness MKE will replenish Hunger Task Force’s strength to serve. We will use those funds to feed kids with healthy and nutritious food, and support Hunger Task Force’s network of food pantries, soup kitchens and homeless shelters in Milwaukee County.

Match Madness MKE’s signature event is an all-day telethon with CBS 58, scheduled for Thursday, March 7. A team of 11 Kohl's volunteers will be on camera answering phones and taking donations. 10 volunteers are needed to answer the phones on set. The additional volunteer will be an alternate for those who need a break for water/food or to use the rest room.

Join us for this incredible opportunity to show Kohl's support of Hunger Task Force!
