Plant Chicago runs a year round farmers market. We are always in need of help, especially for Spanish translation. While our staff speaks Spanish, we are a small organization and we get hundreds of visitors at each market. Data shows that 20% of the residents in our surrounding neighborhood do not speak English!

We also have multiple opportunities for volunteering for non-Spanish speakers at the market, including assisting vendors, waste educators, cooking demonstrations, workshops, and sales.

Touched Twice is a free medical and community clinic that provides a variety of services to individuals who might not otherwise have the support they need.
As the community comes, many hands are needed in various areas to make this a success.

Salvation Army is a church and an international charitable organization striving to serve the people in need. Outside2Inside in partnership with Salvation Army will cook and serve food for approximately 100-200 homeless people.

Kohls volunteers have supported this event for several years! Volunteers help with set up, provide and/or arrange desserts, serve attendees, and help with clean up. Volunteers enjoy some of the competition too-chili and chicken soup for free!

At the end of each month we noticed that families that receive EBT/ Food Stamps are having trouble feeding themselves and their families. We want to bridge that gap. We will
provide free meals the last weekend of every month. Friday 5pm dinners and Saturday 8am breakfast. From young to old, we want you the community to know that we need your help to setup/tear down, cooks and servers.

THURSDAY 9am until 1pm Food Pantry set up, stocking, receiving a shipment, sorting and setting up Clothing Pantry
We are in a temporary building and everything except the grocery store is set up on Thursday and tore down on Saturday. In the summer and fall we service 80 to 90 families per week on Friday evening and Saturday morning. That requires a lot of clothes (which are completely put away every Saturday and put back out on Thursday. We received approximately 1500 pounds of food on Thursday which needs to be unloaded, unboxed and stocked or placed into inventory. No clients shop on Thursday.
