TLC is a grassroots organization – for the past 38 years, most programs and services have been managed and delivered by volunteers. We have 15 staff members (9 full time & 6 part time) and in FY2021 our dedicated cadre of approximately 200 volunteers provided 14,500 service hours, which equates to an estimated value of $415,543 worth of service.
These volunteers are on the front lines of delivering client services, and are an indispensable part of our operations. Our volunteers deliver food, organize and stock the food pantry, bag and distribute food to clients, staff the front desk, process food and non-grocery donations, perform building maintenance, provide clerical assistance, run fundraising events for TLC, serve on our board of directors, and so much more!
If you or your group is interested in volunteering, we would love to have you! Please contact NicholeP@Tri-LakesCares.org for more information.

Center Pole welcomes volunteers from all walks of life for all of its projects. Opportunities are located on the rural Crow (Apsaalooke) Indian reservation in southeastern Montana. Accommodations and food are offered in exchange for a full-time commitment for a period of time. Volunteers must be interested in learning about Native American culture in depth and in working hard on whatever project is available. Ground rules include no alcohol or drugs during stay and being flexible, patient and kind and not superimposing one's ways and beliefs upon a different culture. Having awareness of culture shock is a must and willingness to go without creature comforts a necessity. Signing a letter of intent and an agreement to follow the rules is required. To apply, send us an email of introduction about yourself. A background check may be required. Opportunities are also available to work on seasonal spiritual events as helpers and cooks. For those a cross-cultural training is required.

We are looking for volunteer drivers throughout the city to deliver essential items such as baby essentials, small household appliances, and other essential goods such as bedding, bathroom, and kitchen items as well as food bank hampers, to individuals and families in need who have limited mobility. This is an ideal opportunity for individuals, groups, or families who are looking to make a direct impact on the lives of clients, with the opportunity to visit with clients at their homes. This is not just about delivering “stuff”, but it is about bringing hope to low-to-no income clients seeking a better quality of life for themselves and their families.
