Every June and November, Ameriprise Financial employees, clients, and financial advisors unite with Feeding America and food banks across America to help families in need receive nutritious meals ahead of the holiday season. Over the course of its eleven-year history, the Ameriprise National Day of Service has grown to become Feeding America’s largest partner volunteer event in the country.

This year, advisors are being encouraged to host a virtual food drive on behalf of their local Feeding America member food bank or Feeding America. Ameriprise will provide advisors with general steps on how to do so, understanding that it will look slightly different between food banks, as well as provide turnkey communication templates. This will make it as turnkey as possible for advisors to engage their clients and social media networks in their virtual food drive.

In addition to the virtual food drives, Ameriprise is encouraging employees and advisors to volunteer individually or virtually, complete acts of kindness, and make financial gifts.
