The Mobile Pantry program is an opportunity for us to bring a bigger yield of perishable and non-perishable food directly to our community. On the day of the event, the Mobile Pantry comes filled with a variety of produce, frozen and refrigerated product to provide supplemental food assistance to qualified families and individuals. Daily tasks in our main warehouse include repacking donated food on our conveyor system, packing assorted food kits, packing health and beauty kits, and checking expiration dates.We have morning and afternoon shifts on most weekdays and occasional nights and weekends.

Hunger Intervention Program (HIP) is seeking prep cook volunteers for our expanded Senior Meals program in Lake City. This program serves free, hot lunches to seniors in the north Seattle area at the Lamb of God Church. Volunteers help prepare the food in the HIP kitchen every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 11:30 am. All cooking skill levels are welcome!

HIP provides weekend food bags to local elementary and middle school students who need them. These food bags, which we call Healthy HIP Packs, are filled with shelf-stable, nutritious food to ensure that kids don’t go hungry over the weekend. Come out and join us at our packing parties to help assemble these HIP Packs! This is a great opportunity for folks of all ages, and no training is needed beforehand.Packing parties are held on Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00 pm. Weekday VolunteeringThe following tasks are available at various times throughout the day, 5 days per week:
Food Distribution– Pack grocery carts full of food and take them to client’s cars.
Food Pack– Help with the need of the day which may include sorting and bagging various produce, building food boxes, or assembling Backpack bags.
For individuals who are unable to join us during the weekday, we offer occasional evening volunteer opportunities from 5-7pm on select days. During this time you will help us with the need of the day which may include sorting and bagging produce, building food boxes, or assembling Backpack bags.
On the fourth Saturday of every month, Weld Food Bank opens for an additional distribution. Volunteers help us pack carts and take the food to client’s cars, and sort and bag produce. There are two three-hour shifts available every Saturday distribution.
Our Mobile Food Pantry travels to sites around Weld County to distribute healthy, perishable foods such as produce, meat and dairy. We need volunteers at these sites to help load food into clients’ cars.

Our auction is the major fundraiser for St Bart’s Episcopal Church, a 501(c)(3] non-profit, supporting its mission to restore all people to unity with God and each other in Christ through prayer, worship, proclaiming the Gospel and promoting justice, peace & love.Some of the outreach work we did in 2019 to live out our mission include:
• Hosting and funding our Food Pantry which runs year-round as a partner agency for the Oregon Food Bank. In 2019 we provided food for 2837 people in 810 households.
• Collect, assemble and distribute 600 Assistance Packets for people in need.
• Developing and hosting a Vacation Bible School which is open to all.
• Partnering with four Recovery/12-Step programs.
• Supporting our youth groups in their community service activities and their annual service-oriented mission trip.
• Participating in Rebuilding Together Washington County to repair and clean up a home for a disabled and/or a low-income family in our community.
• Providing a welcoming spiritual home and fellowship opportunities for both longtime members and seekers.
