We are a mobile food pantry so we need extra hands to help pass out food, carry grocery bags, and generally provide smiles and laughs to the families we serve.

Manna Café Ministries has one busy warehouse, and we need your help keeping it clean, staged, and sorted. At the General Warehouse Help volunteer opportunity, volunteers will help stage the warehouse for the following day's food distribution, sort non-perishable food items, stock freezers, and help clean the warehouse. Volunteer tasks vary based on that day's need.
Closed-toe shoes are required to work in the warehouse.

The purpose of this activity is to help those living in poverty while creating a memorable experience for volunteers . Volunteers are the heartbeat of all that we do. Participate in volunteering at Long Island's largest soup kitchen where 250-350 people are served, Mon-Fri, a nutritious and healthy five-course meal. Volunteer duties include, but are not limited to, assisting with preparing and serving the meal, sorting food and/or clothing, stocking shelves, assembling of shower kits and assisting with the day-to-day operations. We are a volunteer based agency and we could never provide the services that we provide without the selfless help of volunteers.

Opportunity Details

Every third Wednesday of the month, we partner with Second Harvest Food Bank, to distribute groceries to low-income families. Our volunteers help unpack, sort, bag and distribute the groceries.
