We need volunteers to serve as course marshals along our race route in downtown/east Lawrence, KS. Course marshals cheer on race participants as they pass by, and make sure intersections are clear of vehicle traffic. (This race is early on Memorial Day, so vehicle traffic should be minimal.) At least one volunteer per intersection must be over 18, but we want you to HAVE FUN with it: Wear costumes, bring signs or noisemakers -- whatever you think will keep our racers energized! You'll receive a reflective vest to wear during your volunteer time, as well as a race T-shirt to keep. The race starts at South Park (1141 Massachusetts St.) at 8:30, so course marshals need to be in place along the course between 8 a.m.-8:15 a.m. The last participants should be finished by 9:45 a.m. We'll also have free kids' activities in South Park for the morning (student-athletes signing autographs and taking photos with participants, a fun run for small kids, bounce houses, face painting and giant bubble-making), so it's a great family event!Available Shifts

Campaign team
The success of MUW’s annual fundraising campaign depends on the support of a large network of volunteers. MUW raises nearly $1.5 million annually and we couldn’t do this without volunteers.
Whether you’re interested in managing workplace campaigns as a Loaned Employee, connecting with individual donors, or making thank you calls, we have a spot for you on the campaign team!
Visit our campaign page for more information.
Investment Process
Volunteers for the investment process form teams that review proposals from the programs that apply for MUW funds. Additionally, teams visit the programs they review to have in-depth discussions about collaboration, budgets, metrics, strengths, opportunities, and results.
Through this intensive review process, Investment Team volunteers produce funding recommendations that inform MUW’s investments in local nonprofit programs and initiatives.
Impact Monadnock
Impact Monadnock (IM) is MUW’s signature investment in early childhood. IM strives to prepare Monadnock-region children ages 0-8 for future academic, career, and life success. To read more about Impact Monadnock and its various project teams, click here.
