We are looking for exceptional volunteer groups to travel to the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Reservation in South Dakota. Being a volunteer on the CRST Reservation is about bringing hope to a place that has been marginalized for generations. You will become allies. You will become partners.Through youth development and community building programs, you will create smiles where there is often little reason to smile. With your presence and through the smiles you create you will ease the burden and alleviate the suffering. You will allow an adult to forget their worries and for a child to just be a child.
In addition, you will become an integral part of building the first-of-its-kind intentional community for the most at-risk children on the CRST Reservation in South Dakota: the Simply Smiles Children’s Village.

Join friends of Habitat in celebrating the holiday season as participants in the annual Parade of Lights through our beautiful downtown. For the best view in town, we are inviting community members to walk with or ride on our lighted truck-"float” (parade starts at 6, meet up at the float by 5:30). Rain, snow or shine, this parade delights the young and old alike, and the more individuals we have walking with us, the more awareness we can spread about Habitat home-building.Available Shifts
