This exciting event will be held March 25, 2018 at the Senior Center, 18041 Goldenwest St, Huntington Beach, CA 92648 from 4:30-7:30 pm. It is a fundraising event that includes a silent auction, all the crab you can eat, and music. Social Advocates for youth is hosting a Soirée that will deliver guests a sophisticated, black-tie experience highlighting Sonoma County’s full bounty of flavors, right within the heart of downtown Santa Rosa on Saturday, April 14, 2018. This outdoor evening event will bring guests together to hear the stories of our youth and the power of SAY’s housing, counseling and career services. No matter how youth access SAY’s continuum of services, our goal is to create a home for the youth we serve; a place a safety, support, and care.We need volunteers to help with the set-up and clean-up for our event. We rely on community support and volunteer power to help us raise the funds necessary to support our youth.

The Marketing Committee is a standing committee established by the Board of Directors. Members of the Marketing Committee are SCLC board members (at least two), the executive director, and several community members that have a passion for the SCLC mission and experience or interest in telling our story of organizational impact.Below are several examples of past contributions the marketing committee has made to the overall health and storytelling of SCLC:
• Website creation, editing, and maintenance
• Creation, maintenance, and compliance with SCLC Style Guide/Brand Standard
• Annual Report
• Quarterly News Letters
• Drafting Blogposts
• Content creation
• Editing Content for any/all public facing materials
• Creating a Video about SCLC services
• Logo redesign
• Designing a Client Day, where photo and video of SCLC clients is captured
Meetings
The Committee meets on the first Monday of each month at 6pm. Location of the meetings will be shared in advance of the meeting. Meetings can be attended via telephone with advanced notice and approval.
Responsibilities of the Committee
• Work with the SCLC executive director to define and carryout the short and long-term marketing needs of the organization as they relate to the SCLC strategic plan.
• Create, maintain, and deliver on the SCLC Communication Plan.
Committee Member Expectations
• Attend and participate regularly in monthly marketing committee meetings.
• Support the mission and the culture of philanthropy at SCLC.
Time Commitment: 2-6 hours per month.
