We help you find your something. We seek board members to help us raise awareness and funds for our partner project needs. We mobilize fund raisers, seek donors and volunteers to help in any way they can to complete projects that serve orphans. Our focus is safety, shelter and sustainability.

Urban Impact needs fun, enthusiastic tutors who are passionate about education and dedicated to children's success. OST Tutors assist students K-8th grade with homework and other academic assignments. They must be pro-active in asking students if they need help and be creative in how to communicate assignments that students are having difficulty understanding.

Sister Circle is a permanent housing program for women who live independently and continue to receive long-term support while in recovery from substance addiction. Sister Circle provides a close-knit community of peer support.

Sister Circle Homemakers help women feel at home in their new Sister Circle apartments by donating items like new bedding and toiletries. Volunteers may also help clean the apartment and do basic home improvements before a woman moves in. This volunteer opportunity occurs on an as-needed basis.

Step Up DC, Calvary’s job placement program, connects eligible candidates in Calvary’s transitional and permanent housing programs to employers in the community. Through the program, women gain additional opportunities to support themselves by re-entering the workforce. The Step Up DC program is an imperative piece of Calvary’s comprehensive services offered in a resident’s journey towards financial independence and permanent housing.

This volunteer opportunity, the Step Up DC Job Lead Facilitator, allows 3-4 participants to access the computers on Tuesday mornings by logging them onto the machines, monitoring that the activities are appropriate and answering any questions that may arise in regards to best job searching practices and technology. If time allows, the Step Up DC Computer Lab Supervisor may be asked to conduct job searches that can be done in tandem to the supervision.

Calvary Women’s Services offers housing, health, employment and education programs that empower homeless women in Washington, DC to change their lives. Founded in 1983, our programs carry out our mission to offer “a safe, caring place for tonight; support, hope and change for tomorrow.”

Every day at Calvary, each resident is offered breakfast and dinner. On the weekends, volunteers provide the dinners. We're looking for groups to prepare a meal at home and serve it at Calvary. After the meal is served, volunteers are encouraged to sit down and enjoy the dinner.

This is the perfect opportunity for groups of up to 12 volunteers to serve in an essential role.

Each weekday evening, the residents gather as a community for a nutritious meal prepared by Calvary's chef. We're looking for a group of passionate and caring volunteers to both serve the meal to the residents and clean up afterwards. Calvary Women’s Services offers housing, health, employment and education programs that empower homeless women in Washington, DC to change their lives. Founded in 1983, our programs carry out our mission to offer "a safe, caring place for tonight; support, hope and change for tomorrow." Overnight volunteers play an important role in carrying out Calvary’s mission by ensuring the residents have a safe and secure night every night.

Overnight volunteers pair up with a Calvary staff member to guarantee a smooth and quite night. Volunteers arrive at 9 pm and are responsible for setting out breakfast, welcoming residents arriving late from work or school, and doing a final walkthrough of the facility. In the morning, volunteers facilitate breakfast for residents and make sure clients are up and ready for the day before heading out at 7 am.

This role is ideal for volunteers who need to keep business hours yet still want to serve in an essential role.
