On October 2, 2021 the Arizona Burn Foundation is partnering with the Tucson Fire Department to educate the community, reduce the risk of house fires, and save lives! With your help, we are installing free smoke alarms in low-income, high-risk homes. Below is the information:Date: Saturday, October 2, 2021
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Targeted neighborhood: Barrio Hollywood area (Exact meeting location is TBD)
We hope to reach 400 homes with this event, so we need volunteers to help make this happen! We will provide all the necessary tools and training the morning of the walk, so you are ready to do the installs. This is a great event that helps communities in need while potentially saves lives. It is also a great way to meet and network with others that truly care about giving back!

All volunteers will be required to wear a mask for the entirety of the event. Vaccines are strongly recommended and preferred, but not required

Position Summary:On occasion, various SNAP departments have need of a volunteer or volunteers with construction or “handyman” type skills. Projects vary throughout the year, based on client and department needs. Flexible to your volunteer schedule and abilities. Preferred skills include: comfort and knowledge of basic hand-tool use, basic construction skills and/or access to the necessary tools for the given project.
This volunteer works closely with SNAP’s Housing Improvements and Repairs team.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland & Northwest Indiana (RMHC-CNI) exists so families can get better together. Families staying at a Ronald McDonald House are often far from the comforts of home, including freshly prepared meals. Through Meals from the Heart, volunteers provide meals for families, allowing them to eat together without the stress of cooking or the expense of dining out.
Whether you’re looking for a teambuilding activity for colleagues or a fun way to give back with friends, Meals from the Heart is a great way to give families a taste of home.

Meals from the Heart volunteer groups (up to four volunteers per group) handle the meal planning and preparation from start to finish. Volunteers create their menu, purchase all necessary ingredients, and cook their meal in our fully-equipped Ronald McDonald House kitchens.

HVAF is looking for volunteers to serve in our food and clothing pantries interacting with our veterans on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays (9:30 am - 2 pm).We also need help stocking our food and clothing pantries on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays (anytime between 8:30 am - 4 pm). Would you consider volunteering on a weekly or monthly basis or would a day or a few hours here or there work to volunteer at HVAF?
We have instituted new protocols to help keep our volunteers and veterans safe. Everyone is required to wear a face mask when working with veterans. We hope you will consider donating some of your time to assist us and help serve our veterans.
HVAF is located at 964 N Pennsylvania St, Indianapolis, IN 46204. We have free visitor parking across the street from our 10th Street main entrance.

This year, Hardin County Habitat for Humanity has created a goal to help build 4 homes for our low income hard working families in our community! We need you! All of our homes are built by volunteers such as yourselves and we would love to have you come out and donate your time. This volunteer opportunity is available from July 1st, 2021 at our job site of house #74 for the Deloney Family. This is also an amazing opportunity to do team building as a corporation and develop amazing team work skills while building a house! No experience necessary and all of the work will be demonstrated by a licensed foreman at the job site.
