Donation sorting volunteers help sort and distribute donated food and clothing on weekdays between 9am and 4pm. This is a great group volunteer opportunity. Donation Center volunteers are needed weekdays from 8am to 4pm to help with with receiving donations and deliveries. Shifts are flexible during our business hours and typically are scheduled for 3 - 4 hours. Volunteers are supervised by our Donation Center team. Not suitable for groups. Opportunity Details
We currently need three volunteers maximum each weekday from 11:15am to 12:15pm to package hot casseroles into disposable containers and prepare sandwiches for our clients. All volunteers must comply with our enhanced safety measures by taking a wellness survey upon entry, getting a temperature check and wearing a mask at all times.Please note, we do have an age requirement policy of 14 years old with an adult chaperone.
You may volunteer up to four times in calendar year within the center, thereafter you will have to complete the volunteer compliance paperwork, background screening and attend a Protecting God’s Children workshop.

PROSPECTIVE VOLUNTEERS MUST CALL THE WAREHOUSE TO SCHEDULE VOLUNTEER TIMES. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP UNANNOUNCED.Renesting Project receives donations of gently used furniture items that we give free of charge to those in need in Bossier and Caddo Parish.
Those donations need to be unloaded from donors' vehicles, cleaned, and inventoried in order to be ready for a newly housed individual or family to pick them up.
Volunteers should expect to move furniture (as a team, never solo), vacuum or wipe down furniture, discern if items are usable, and place furniture on the warehouse shelves.
We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for longish periods of standing, moving furniture, and working in a warehouse with no airconditioning. As with any time you are in our warehouse and in accordance with Louisiana mandates, a mask will be required at all times.

Opportunity Details
The long-running event attracts wine aficionados, celebrity chefs, and restaurateurs to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for four days of all things food and wine. This year’s Sandestin Wine Festival will take place from April 15 to 18. 400 happy, helpful volunteers are needed to staff this multi day event and receive a FREE t-shirt and taster ticket. Title: Polish/other EU Language Speaking Volunteer Progress Mentor – Hand UpLocation: Northampton Hope Centre, Oasis House, Campbell Street, NN1 3DS
Purpose of the role: Assist in the effective operation of our Support Hub; talking and assisting people in our Support Hub, often in need or in crisis (always supported by paid staff)
Hours: This role runs Monday to Saturday in 2 - 4 hour shifts. The right candidate will be able to commit at least 2 days per week on the same days. Get in contact to discuss your availability.
What tasks may be involved?
• Supporting Service Users to engage in the support on offer
• Welcoming Service Users to the service, covering key areas of access (the Door and reception)
• Logging Service Users attendance to the service
• Capturing Essential Support Needs from ‘New to Service’ individuals
• Arranging and supporting appointments with Support Workers
• Supporting Service Users to attend external appointments – acting as an advocate
• Supporting Service Users to open NFA Bank Accounts
• Clean UK driving Licence and willingness to drive a Minibus is desirable
What qualities or skills would be useful?
• Fluent in an EU Language
• A current and Valid DBS is required for this role

Purpose of the role: To assist the Service Manager with the general Warehouse tasks
What tasks may be involved?
• Loading/unloading boxes from the van
• Picking and packing food items

• Adhering to all health and safety within the warehouse environment
• Getting packages/items ready to be sent to different service areas
