Hi Beautiful Twitter Folks and Tweeps,This #TwitterForGood day, TNDC (Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation) is hosting a drive for all things Halloween!
Eight of our affordable housing buildings in San Francisco have requested assistance in getting supplies for Halloween this year. They are in need of decorations and candy! We would love some candy grab bags for easy distribution to our tenants and general decorations for the shared lobby areas and hallways.
One building is also requesting some new or gently used (and washed) costumes for the children. They actually usually partner up with a non-profit based in New Orleans for costume donations. Due to this year's Hurricane Ida, that non-profit is not able to support us in that way.
Below is a link to a list of requested costumes. If you have other items, please still consider donating them so that we can have a little costume bank for last minute needs (you know how it goes when you suddenly decide you actually want to dress up for Halloween this year :P).
Costume List: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1j7w_pmTTGrw9dB2fN8giNxyNx2Q_HlvXGyfID7J0rcU/edit?usp=sharing
We can accept:
• New/gently used and washed costumes--Please refer to the above list and mark off any costumes you are planning to donate with a "Yes" in column H.
• New/gently used Halloween decorations--All things accepted, but let's keep it PG for our family buildings!
• Candy: No homemade goodies, but if you'd like to create grab bags for easy distribution, please do! These can include candy and other Halloween themed treats like stickers, temporary tattoos, small toys, etc. You can also just donate bags of candy, candy bars, or small toys in bulk.
