Pathlight HOME is thrilled to receive donations of various household items as many of our residents come in with little to no belongings.Volunteers are needed to help sort, sanitize and organize the donations. Tasks may include checking donations for quality, laundering clothing donations, cleaning/sanitizing, sorting by size, organizing the display of donations, and potentially calling new residents to come in and shop.

Mary's Place has over 200 families across our shelter locations, each location accommodates a different number of families. Help support our Food Services team by sponsoring a weekend lunch or dinner at one or more of our shelters! Groups coordinate funding and the purchase of a meal and either have the restaurant deliver the food or have a volunteer pick up and drop it off at shelter.By signing up for one slot, you are confirming that you're available to sponsor a meal for one of our shelters. We will brainstorm with you and support you throughout the process by helping you select a restaurant and matching you with one of shelters.

Invite a Mary's Place's employee to join your team via a video call to learn more about our organization, family homelessness, and how your team can help. This time is designed to be fun and interactive with a kit building or card-making activity for families, children, and frontline staff in our shelters. (Welcome Cards, Birthday Cards, Affirmation Cards). Presentations typically take 20-30 minutes, plus additional time for questions and discussion.

Community Hand Up has been created to help working households meet unexpected/emergency financial or emotional needs and whose income is 133-250% of the federal poverty level.We need resourceful, energetic individuals who are excited about our goal of providing resources to households and families. Being a board member is not a glamorous position, but it is essential for Community Hand Up’s success. The Board of Directors is responsible for the organization’s financial well-being and accountability, ensuring that our activities are consistent with our mission, and the oversight/health of the organization. The initial term for board members is 3 years, and in this first year could be 10-15 hours per week. Community Hand Up's Board of Directors is voluntary.
As a board member, you are expected to:
Promote the organization to other business in an effort to locate partners/sponsor
Attend board meetings
Plan and execute fundraisers
Attend all fundraisers/events that the organization hosts
Participate in all email discussions and board retreats
Participate in board committees
Make a annual donation to the organization
Recruit additional board members.
Be an active participant in the organization that contributes to the growth
Must be 21 and live/work in Polk County

Wellspring's Board and Committee members support and assist Wellspring’s mission and vision to help some of Louisville's most vulnerable people - adults with mental illness. Wellspring provides housing, hope and healthy recovery programs that impact approximately 1,600 people every year. It takes dedicated and diverse community leaders to help us achieve great success.Volunteer tasks include:
● Supporting initiatives that promote public awareness of Wellspring’s mission;
● Building strategic alliances and partnerships to address behavioral health, housing and related social issues;
● Supporting fundraising and other activities to further Wellspring's work;
