Join us on December 2nd as TLC Learning Center raffles off beautiful, themed Christmas trees (with a value of at least $150). This annual fundraiser benefits TLC Learning Center's early childhood education center for infants, toddlers, and preschool children with an on-site pediatric therapy center located in Longmont, Colorado. Our classrooms prepare every child for kindergarten through literacy and STEM focused curriculum. We develop positive social-emotional behavior in every child, creating a holistic learning environment that focuses on the whole child. In addition to cognitive and social-emotional development, TLC preschool students participate in YogaKids and Young Athletes for fine and gross motor skill development. TLC won the 2017 Young Athletes Program of the Year in Colorado.TLC serves children in a fully inclusive, deliberately diverse environment to foster compassion and critical thinking in all of our students. To fulfill our mission – to provide comprehensive early childhood education and therapeutic services to assist each child in reaching his or her highest potential – we are a Level Four Colorado Shines rated center.
Our infant nursery, toddler classrooms, and preschool classrooms are open year-round to best serve busy families. TLC's infant nursery serves children as young as eight weeks old. Our wobbler and toddler rooms serve children up to 2 1/2 years old. Our preschool program serves children through six years old. All of our classrooms serve children with typical development (no identified special needs or developmental delays), as well as children with developmental delays or disabilities. Diverse classrooms are part of our fully inclusive learning model.
On-site physical, occupational, and speech pediatric therapies for children up to 12 years old allow TLC staff to identify developmental delays or disabilities in children as soon as possible and provide early interventions for improved long-term outcomes. TLC students are diverse, and we are proud of our fully-inclusive classrooms where children with typical abilities (no identified special need) learn and play alongside friends with developmental delays or disabilities. Inclusive classrooms foster compassion and care in all children, and benefit both those with typical abilities and special needs.
TLC was founded as The Tiny Tim Center in 1956 by local families, and has served the community with the highest quality infant care, toddler care, preschool, and pediatric therapies ever since.

12 Hours of Christmas – LOTCarolinas realizes that Christmas can be hard for children in foster care or kinship care, or for the children that have just been reunited with their families. We want these children to have something under the tree on Christmas. The 1st Saturday in December we host this event from 8am until 8pm. Each family has an appointment time and each child has been previously sponsored and shopped for (specifically for that child with their list). It’s a magical day; the children are whisked away at the door to have fun, while their caregivers go get their gifts and wrap them. Once the gifts are secure in the trunk of the caregiver’s car, the children are reunited with their caregivers and they enjoy a meal together. Santa Claus greets every child. Since December 2013 LOTCarolinas has provided Christmas gifts for over 2,000 children!Available Shifts

The goal of this event is to raise funds for children in need to receive a toy or gift for the upcoming holiday. We support the Marines' Toys for Tots organization in their annual campaign and hope to step up our support this year after the loss of their corporate sponsor Toys R Us. While we cannot replace the significant amount of funding that this sponsor provided we can certainly band together as a community to help them with the challenging year ahead.Available Shifts

Misión México is a children’s refuge providing love, life and hope to 35 children and young adults in our home in southern Mexico. Our children come to us from backgrounds of poverty, neglect and abuse. We aim to provide them with a loving home where they are considered one of the family, along with emotional support and educational advancement. We also provide a Youth Transition Program, which prepares our teenagers and young adults for life outside the refuge and provides them with the life skills and knowledge to transition to independent living.
We have a small, dedicated team of staff but are also dependent on the wonderful volunteers who come us from all over the world to share their skills with our children and provide day to day support in the running of our house.
We also rely on UK based volunteers willing to help run fundraising events or provide support in administration, marketing and research.
